Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is offering local groups the chance to enjoy a fascinating guided walk around its 26-acre grounds. Community Warden Emma Pye is inviting social and community groups looking for an interesting outing to join her in exploring the history and wildlife of the charity’s Wolseley Centre HQ, between Stafford and Rugeley, and its picturesque grounds. She said: “Our guided walks are very popular and offer groups the chance to learn about the work of the Trust, including how the individual habitats here at Wolseley are managed and identify the wildlife associated with the different habitats. “We will also look into the history of the site, which was formerly the ancestral seat of the Wolseley family.” The guided walks can be tailored towards the requirements and abilities of any group and usually last between one-and-a-half and two hours. Refreshments are available on request. Previous walks have been enjoyed by a range of groups such as Women’s Institutes and Rotary Clubs. Anyone interested in finding out more about arranging a guided walk should contact the Trust on 01889 880100, or email e.pye@staffs-wildlife.org.uk |
